8 Fears that Derail Performance & Development
8 Fears that Derail Performance & Development
Most of us have grown up believing that there is something wrong with us if we are afraid and that people who are fearless are to be admired and emulated. We learn to ignore or deny this emotion so that we don’t look “weak” or “immature.” However, fear is a powerful motivator that drives our behavior more than any other emotion. Fear is the most common reason why teams get stuck, organizational dysfunction emerges and behaviour stays the same despite efforts to change it.
Based on the latest findings in Jung / MBTI Personality Types, neuroscience, emotional intelligence and the biology of behavioral change, this webinar explores the eight key fears that drive human behavior and how that impacts our ability to learn, work on teams, perform and achieve our goals. Discover how these fears trigger the Self-Protective System of our brain and causes our behavior to shift. Get the tools you need to consider innate fears in the design and delivery of any development or change program, as well as to shift a culture that is being driven by fear.
Participants will learn:
- why we ignore our fears
- how denying or not knowing our fears impacts on organizational dynamics and performance
- how an understanding of the fears that get triggered can expedite behavioural change and development
- the eight innate fears that are rooted in the brain and their connection to Jung's (MBTI) four functions & attitudes
- what happens to the brain and to behaviour when our innate fears are triggered
- how to factor these fears into the design and delivery of learning and change programs
- how to know when fear is prevelant in your culture and what to do about it.
